I know you guys were trying to be Objective, but I read this thread twice and other cross threads with same OP and some other Posters with 1 Post to collaborate the story. Theres too many unknowns here and either OP to extremely Unlucky or theres really something wrong here. I read other threads from other sites, no one responded except us Nice guys from Club Lexus.. I say he's Trolling us, too many Unknown variables and hard to prove anything.. I say its BS, Thread should been closed from Page 1. I've thought about this hard and try to be sympathetic to OP's cause but seeing other sites and how he's trying to get a "Rise" out of other Forums, sounds Fishy to me.. SO I CALL IT BS~!

Lol Im pretty sure you misjudged the turn and your speed. You "Understeered". I maintain my 07 IS250 RWD properly and take my car up twisty mountains here in SoCal. I felt understeer but was going slow enough to slow down safely. My steering never failed.

Never smashed anything and not used.
My situation is not identical with the OP. I actually cannot turn the wheel wherein he turned and the car did not follow. I have to say, that never happened to me before.
I should get an update today and will post here. I'm sure there's a good reason for mine.

Mystery solved!
There was a screwdriver bit that got wedged in. No explanation how it got there but service rep said there was no damage at all. I've never worked on the car and have taken it to the dealer for services. They saved the object for me and I'm curious to see how large this item is.
Btw, I did not try to force the steering wheel. My service rep did and I guess the object dislodged when he did as it started turning normally again.
