hey guys, just bought an 07 IS250, ive done some searching on this but no real solid solution could be found so i thought id just make a thread of my own.
basically last week when i bought the car, both headlights pointed what seemed like very low, not much visibility at night, last night, the passenger side headlight started pointing higher, or what seemed like what may be the more appropriate hieght. Ive seen that you can adjust the beam, but no solid write up on how to do it.
would it just be better to bring this thing to a dealer and let them take care of it? or is there a way to raise the lights to where it feels A. safer to drive and B. both headlights are at the same level
thanks

You can adjust them, but have to be careful. There is a headlight "aimer", which dealers and shops use to make sure that the headlights are pointing where they should be. The driver's side isn't pointed slightly inward (if I'm not mistaken, you run the risk of blinding cars that are coming towards you. Having them too high can be an issue also. If it were me and mine were way out of adjustment, I would have someone take care of it for me.

He should be able to hook you up. You don't want them too low or high, and certainly don't want people flashing their high beams at you because yours are shining right at them.

Something I noticed this afternoon is that even my driving lights are higher on the passenger side, do those move as well? I was under the impression it was just the projector

Mine are like that and the dealer told me they are normal for the passages-side to be higher. If this ends up being incorrect let us know. I'd love to go get it fixed for free...
