Default New headlights - Thanks Sewell!

A long long time ago I had a ballast go out in my 06' IS250 .... found a housing on ebay with a ballast, replaced it and it worked for about 6 months before dying on me.

About two days after the second one died I happened to hit a turkey driving to work and the only damage was to the broken headlight - got pretty lucky there.

So insurance cut me a check for $1400 to replace the headlight just in time for the last Sewell sale, so I was able to replace both headlights with the new LED ones for only about $300 out of pocket (which selling my old working headlight should cover).

.... just wanted to thank Sewell for being there for this community ......myself and my wallet appreciate it!

You got lucky! Good to hear. Get a new license plate, it makes the front end look beat up!

I was going to say the same. Looks like the licence plate may of been on a previous vehicle before the IS.

See if you can take of the front plate all together and put some bumper plugs on it

Its probably about time... same plates I've had since I was 16.... The "beat up look" is from a truck that backed into my old car.... the guy's trailer hitch/ball smashed my plate pretty good.

Unfortunately, not an option in Wisconsin. I've thought about keeping the "beat up" one in my car and if I get pulled over give them the truck hit story (since it looks like it has been hit) but I hate knowingly giving the police a reason to pull me over.

Congrats on the new headlight

It definitely adds a new look on the car. Like what others have said, the license plate has to go

I got a nice scratch from the beak or claw on my fender but and some turkey goo on the hood, but that was pretty minor.

... the housing front plastic survived too, the whole housing got "pushed" back into the car and broke the mounts, so there was a 1/2" hole on the housing that allowed water in.... the water then sat on the ballast and caused it to fail, but all my other lights still worked.

Whatever engineer said "Let's but this higher voltage ballast at the lowest point in the housing" is an asshat.

Did you just have to buy the headlight housing or did you have to buy anything extra like a wire harness or ballast to do the conversion?
