My new beater!

Gents,
As some of you may recall, my Jeep was totaled last month, which resulted in a lot of fierce discussions with their insurance company and a frantic search for a replacement. After two weeks of emails and phone calls, I finally bit the bullet yesterday:
- 7+ hours in two planes/airports to get to Cleveland
- 2 hours inspecting, test driving, and signing documents
- aaaaaaaand a 7 hour drive back to Northern VA
2010 Starfire Pearl IS350 w/luxury package (minus Nav and backup cam) and 25k miles (after the long trip home). The guy I bought it from worked for Lexus and meticulously maintained it. All maintenance was performed by Lexus every 5k miles and the history is impeccable. There's only a handful of blemished inside and out with very minimal rock chips. The only thing wrong is that it has some "rail dust" on the paint that I have to get removed.
Gentlemen, meet my new beater (taken prior to leaving from Ohio):

Yeah yeah yeah, where's the blue tape you ask? I brought 2 rolls with me, but it was just too wet and nasty out to tape up the front end. The bug carnage left on my front end is ridiculous

Haha looks like the term 'beater' ruffled some feathers. How about 'daily commuter'... Is that more PC for ya? My weekend car, funny enough is my 91 MR2 with 85k miles that's worth a fraction of the IS. ![Stick Out Tongue](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Thanks for all of the kind words guys (aside from the lobster claws :lol
). I never even pictured the wheels as lobster claws, that gave me a good laugh, but I actually like them. I gave her a wash and cleaned the interior today, I'm extremely happy with my choice. It turns a lot of heads.
The first thing I'm doing to her is window tint and a clear bra to keep down the chips, THEN some coils and Fsport sway bars! I def need more low and better steering response. I've got a lot of ideas as to how I want my IS to look by lurking this forum for the longest time....it'll just take some time.

Let me be the first to say I like your lobster claw wheels. Funny, now nearly all other manufactures have a similar rim.
And a Lexus beater? Come on. That's an oxymoron. ; )
Enjoy
