Default Help with Mark Levinson on 08 ISF!

o Hey all, new to the forums but been reading for a while just started he digitizer repair listed on the site and so far so good but thats not the reason for this post. The problem I have occured long before the digitizer went out so I know theyre unrelated.

So the problem: 2008 ML Nav in an ISF. Randomly one day 2 things happened. The first is that all of the back lights are out on the buttons. Buttons like Climate, Audio, Disp, all the way down to Temp, CD/Aux. Every single button is completely dark at night.. Now the second problem (which I know is related since it all happened on the same day) is that the nav screen also will never switch to night mode. Now all of this is occurrs whether the headlights are in any position as well as what position the dimmer switch is in.

And yes i know about the day mode only in the display settings and tried that. Its definitely along the lines of a fuse it may be on, or a faulty interior light sensor or whateve

So while I have it all out to fix the digitizer I figure might as well try to fix this as well.

Does anyone know which wire provides naav with day/night info or whatever or if its on a fuse with something? Ive searched alot and found nothing helpful so any help is welcome

Thanks

Impressive sir, do you know if it would fall under its own fuse? I know the wires that power the lights on the gear shift are green and black and are currently disconnecte andd may have even gotten crossed (down under the cupholder.

I checked the connections and they are all solid (green on j50) so that means IF its related to the loose wires that power gear shift lights it would either be a blown fuse from them shorting or an incomplete circuit as they currently arent crossed? I doubt its on a circuit with all hat other stuff though idk sort of a noob here
