So from what I understand, I still need to order a Samsung EPL-3FHUBE MHL adapter so I can use this on my Note II? I was reading the reviews on Amazon for the item and folks were still saying what they expected was not what was received and their phones aren't working with this OEM item. Can someone confirm exactly what needs to be ordered?
If you google the samsung promo code you can get half off from samsung.com
I made this video for you.
HOWEVER, ignore the all share in the video. You don't need that.

ANY 11PIN MHL adapter. I had to order mine from samsung.com cause I didn't trust the one from amazon.

Also, Vais, is it possible to touch the bottom left hand side of navigation screen to switch to video out?
Then touch bottom left hand side again to switch back to android interface?
You know, just like you touch the top left hand side of screen to bring up the arrows, home, back buttons.

Yeah the boot time is fairly hefty; I'm guessing it's one of two scenarios.
A.) The code needs to be optimized or it should have had a bigger proc to improve the boot time.
or
B.) They are constantly waiting for feedback from the Lexus CD input
However, I haven't really coded in almost 10 years, so that's just an uneducated guess. Overall I'm cool with the boot time (although it does seem to differ more than I expected)
I can get custom iVic settings to you no prob. What exactly do you need? You may have to educate me. I'm assuming just the screen calibration info from the setups screen?
I splurged for the Samsung MHL adapter through Amazon. Didn't want to chance some of the incompatibilities of other MHL adapters, not to mention the Samsung forgeries on EBay. I really hate the design of the adapter though because it takes power on one end and the HDMI on the other which makes cable routing a royal pain for me.

Yea I just purchased a note II. Thinking of molding it into the headunit on the bottom below the emergency flasher button. Ok, I'll check out the amazon MHL
Yea you're right just the screen calibration settings. Horizontal Vertical x y's.
If I remember right VAISTECH only has the calibration for the NOTE not the NOTE II. But it's been awhile since I've been in my car.

My HTC nor my Motorola phones did this. Ever. Does yours do this too? Or is it a phone setting I'm not aware of?

Ccj22,
I remember when we were doing your original install - whatever that phone was - when the screen went to sleep your ivic went to searching input.
My D4 and X2 both do the same. It's because its simply mirroring the image, not rendering it as a second display (the phone, not ivic); i think some future android devices may have dual display mode or perhaps an option that shuts the screen off without turning off the GPU. Could be wrong.

It's weird cause I have allshare on my Note II and when I use it, the screen goes black yet it is still wirelessly transmitting the video on the tv screen.
Wish I was able to do the same with the IVIC.
