Ya the repair was done at the dealership where we bought it. I understand what people are saying about the salesman not knowing the history of the car. The thing that irritates me is when we asked the salesman went on & on about how they would NEVER sell a car with problems & that kind of info had to be disclosed. If you're going to be making those kind of statements it would be wise to know what you're talking about.

Did you ever just talk with the salesman about it? Maybe it's because I deal with the public on a day to day basis, but a lot of times it's just easier to talk to a person not with anger or frustration, but with straight up common sense. If that's what he told you, he wont deny it. Talk to him and figure out what needs to be done for this issue to be resolved. However you're feeling very wronged, and you have a right to be so. However that usually doesnt equate to a reasonable resolution IMO
