Default 07 IS350 Replacement HID bulbs

Long time since I have been on here.. Hope everyone is well.

I need to get my bulbs replaced and don't want to pay the dealership $240 to do it for ONE bulb. Been reading a lot of opinions on brands and bulbs. Wanted to get some opinions from those of you who do NOT have OEM bulbs and your experience with them as well as price.

I'll also look into replacing my DRLs but for now the HID bulbs are my concern.

Thanks all.

I wouldn't trust eBay. A lot of fakes out there.

$240 for one bulb... Well might as well purchase Philips Ultinon 6000K from either CL Forum Vendor Nigel-JDMParts or XendonDepot. It costs about $240+ for a set.

+1 on the phillips ultinon... that's what I have and the light output is about the best you can get for our car, and its a nice pure white colour not too bluish or not creamish like the OEM ones.

If your budget is a little less then Garax is a decent brand too. They have a nice color and are a little more blue than the phillips ultinon but not overly so. The light output is definitely less then what you are used to with the OEM bulbs though, and less than the phillips ultinon, but still acceptable. If you want to buy new check the vendor marketplace as there are a few club lexus vendors selling them.

If your budget is even less, then I have a used pair of the Garax for sale... that I used briefly prior to upgrading to the ultinons

hopes this helps

Phillips Ultinon or Garax are your best options

Amazing.. I had no idea those little things were so pricey! I can see why it was good they were always covered under warranty. I guess I'll keep an eye out of the best deal I can on Ultinons.

With that being said. Which are the best? I don't mind a little hint of blue in the light (I think it's kinda cool actually). So what set would be the best, clearest and brightest?

I say get Garax 6000K bulbs. Excellent quality bulbs, plenty of member's here have them and can attest to the quality. Gives you a nice white with a very slight blue color. You can get 2 bulbs for less than $100 too

Thanks!

Additionally, any recommendations for the DRLs? I want to change those cause I am not a fan of yellow.

Philips Ultinon would fit the bill for best output lumens for the color.

My thread from a while ago. You can see pictures.

As everyone has already said, the phillips are the best replacement for your OEM ones and give you the most light output, but are pricy. If you're looking for something cheaper, Garax 6000K are nice, but a little too blue for my taste. I got a set of xenon depot bulbs. They were a little more expensive, a little over a 100, but I was able to get them at 5000k temp, which is a little cooler of a temp than OEM ones, but not completely blue like 6000k.

http://www.Mod-Express.com/product_p/garax-d4.htm

Just some links to both. Think there's coupon code for the xenon depot ones to get them a little cheaper, but i forgot it.

Hhope that helps!

Bob, YES! What type of light do I need to look up to replace those? And same with fogs.?

And thanks for the info and links guys. I appreciate the help figuring this out. $500 for a pair of bulbs installed at a dealership was slightly absurd to me.

I swapped out my DRL bulbs with a 9005 LED bulb with decoder. I got it from a friend of a friend who makes LEDs but theyre the same as the LED DRL that VLED or iJDMTOY sells.

Fogs are different. If you want to put HIDs in your fogs, you need a 9006 HID kit.

These are my fogs

Is this what you are referring to? http://store.ijdmtoy.com/9005-LED-Da...d_sku45_r4.htm
