Default Ride Quality going from OEM 18's to Aftermarket 19's?

Hey I just wanted to get some feedback on the ride quality going from OEM 18's to aftermarket 19's. I am currently dropped on H&R/F-Sport shocks. Also, what is the biggest tire for the 19 without having issues with rubbing...thanks for the help

Ride will be 10-20% harsher going from 18" to 19" wheels. This depends on your set up as well, for example:

Will your new tires wider than those of 18" wheel? as wider tires will result in higher harshness.
Will you run stretched tires? Streteched tires are harsher than non-stretched
What is the brand or model of the tires? One brand can be hasher than another.
etc....

I was only on fsport springs and oem shocks and when I went to ISF 19s my ride was noticably harsher. My parents hated it when I gave them my 07 I put oem 18s on for them. As soon as warranty is up im removing the fsport springs too.

The wheel size will have little to no effect on ride comfort; it's the tires and the suspension. Of course, I'm assuming the wheels are perfectly balanced with no bends in them.

Was this a joke post? Wheel size plays a roll in ride comfort since you have to reduce the tire series in order to ensure proper fit on the vehicle while maintaining an accurate speedo reading. The only situation where it would make little difference in ride quality is if you went to the same series which either wouldnt fit or really throw off the speedo. However you will effectively impact the ride quality more with springs/shocks/coilovers so the rims will be minimal in comparison. Going up one inch is not too big of a difference but there is a difference...Hankook V12s are great I have them on my SC for a softer ride try the Michellien Pilot Sports (more expensive than Hankook).

To retain overall wheel diameter, a shorter sidewall will have always be compensated for a bigger rim.

For example, if we step up from 18" to 19" front wheel. 225-40-18 tire has about the same diameter as 225-35-19 tire, hence losing about 5% of impact-absorbing sidewall.

I've had 18's 19's and 20's on my car. dropped 1.25 on megan springs, ride quality change overall wasn't that big of a difference to me.

When I had fsport springs and ISF 19s my ride compared to when I would get rental IS250s was night and day. I ride all city though so if your on the highway and smooth roads maybe its not really a factor.

I currently have Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires - Call me crazy but I think my ride on H&R + PS2 is better than stock 18s + Bridgestone Potenzas.

Either that - or I have forgotten what my OEM suspension felt like
