What I have been doing in the past couple of days,
One full lap of the nurburgring
I bet none will hate me for it.
this vid is from yesterday. 8:47 bridge to gantry. - ok time for a mostly clean lap but could do much better
https://vimeo.com/49009259
And Tomorrow I take out the Artega GT for some practice runs and on Monday a closed track day on the Nurburgring!
EDIT: Here is the video of a FULL lap of the ring. 8:33

5th year I am here.
Will share more vids and pics once I am back home.

I try :-)
Now if I could just get the local lexus development guys to let me have a go in a ISF or LFA that would be awesome but thats less likely than winning the lotary and I doubt I have the skills needed to really drive an LFA as fast as it should on the ring.

Winter time is very "interesting" here.
Came here in february this year after visiting a european car show and drove a RS4 - it was semi terifying with 50% of the track covered in black ice :-) . If its your first time coming and the track wone snowed in be extremely cautios and make sure your arm muscles are relaxed - lots of steering input is needed :-)

Some pics of the Artega and me on track
Tomorrow I atend a closed track day with the car so I will have "legal" videos since filming on tourist days is not permitted.
Must say the artega handles like a dream. The TC is a bit too eager to interfere and it means that some of the potential of the car is being held back and you cannot turn off the TC. other than that - I love it.

Hi, don't own the artega, its a ring rental. And while a great car I wouldn't pay 80k euros for it as it just doesn't have the makings of a car in that price range. Much better options available and I guess that's why they filed for bankrupcy :-( .
I am in no way a real racer - just as a hobby. This vid has a 8:47. My fastest bridge to gantry time is 8;01 in a 996 c2 porsche with the sport suspension option. These times are all during turist driving days so on average take 10-15 seconds off the time for a clear lap. We will see tomorrow what a clean lap will net me in the artega.

So just got back home yesterday.
Amazing time as usual.
Video of a FULL lap of the ring in the Artega GT (stock suspension).
While not the best time I got but its the smoothest full lap time.
About 10 seconds slower than the fastest Full lap time of the car on the ring (with stock suspension) and almost 20 seconds slower than the same car with Sports suspension. :-) all with pro drivers. One full lap is 12.944 mi.
without interruptions requiring lift off in the higher speed sections I believe I would have gotten close to the time of the pro drivers. It can be measured but who has time to do that :-)
If I just had a few more laps I could have cut some more time but the 4 hour session just ended too quick.
