I got my 06 IS350 about 6 months ago for 19000k with 68k miles. I'm sure you can get a better deals now, especially for a 250. I would offer no more than 17000 walk out price.

Wow! thats a great price...im also considering a G35 coupe that we have... so so either way the price will be around 15-16K

yea it was..suck it was sold... i was gonna try for that instead! is demand for the IS250 high? since the BMW and the Lexus are both the same year, both equally equipped...i would think they would both be around the same price? but the Lexus is more expensive with more miles?

I'm also 19. Male, but in the market for an '07 STP IS350 with or without navigation. Black interior. I have the cash, just waiting until next year when 3rd gen comes out and the prices of '07 decline a lot more and plus more chances of them coming into dealership as it is extremely hard to find an STP IS350 now with black interior. Lastly I'll be 20 in January so hopefully that will decrease my add-on insurance a bit. :P

Maybe you've already made up your mind but I would probably vote for the BMW, depending on your finances.

I currently have a 2006 Lexus IS250. It's a great car. Very luxurious inside. Smooth and quiet ride. Handling is ok. But there's something missing in the car. I think it's the handling/performance. It tends to be too soft... like there's something between you and the road. BMWs tend to have much better handling/performance and will give you a better closeness to the road. You'll feel like you coasting in the Lexus but driving in the BMW.

That said, Lexus cars are amazingly reliable. It's hard to beat that. So for the money, Lexus is a great way to go.

But if you can afford paying more over the time you own the car, I'd consider the BMW. Though, I'd really try to get a 335i (but those are probably out of your price range for that year).

Lastly, I'd look around your area and see if you could rent a BMW 325/328 for a day and rent a Lexus is250 for a day. You really need more than 10-20 minutes in a test drive to really get a feel of the cars.

Note: I love the reliability, looks and luxury feel of the IS250 and my wife likes it a lot too. I think we'll end up keeping the car for a long time. But I'm tempted to get a BMW 335i.
