This is directly from the letter:
#####################################################################################
Intermittently runs rough after coming to a stop with the engine at operating temperature.
Intermittently runs rough with engine misfires present after a cold soak startup.

If this condition occurs one or more of the Diagnostic Trouble Codes* (DTC's) P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P304, P305, and/or P0306 may be recorded
*The check engine light may illuminate for reasons unrelated to this condition.
####################################################################################

Also, to answer some people's question, I'll directly quote it off the letter:
####################################################################################
"This customer support program is offered for a period of 9 years with no mileage limitations from the vehicle's in-service date to cover a repair for the condition described above.
####################################################################################
When did you receive the letter? Just wondering is there anything I need to do get it too?

the letters will be released over time based on model year. 2006 owners will get it first. But the letter is not needed. Just notification of the CSP. Some customers have already had the work done. But don't bring your car in if doesn't have the misfire problem. Your dealership will need to verify the misfire by data recording that shows the car misfiring.

I have already had my vehicle diagnosed by the dealership here in Orlando, months ago. Same problem, with the vehicle running rough after coming to a stop at a redlight, almost shutting off.

They diagnosed it as random misfires, but now that I really know the cause, I am going to make them fix this immediately. This is awesome information, thank you.

I emailed my service advisor about getting my car in to fix it immediately, I'll let everyone know what he says, especially since I've already taken it in once for this issue and it has been documented, but never resolved.

No wonder my SA is telling me to bring the car back for oil consumption test in intervals when I mentioned that the car feels like its near stalling at lights. I thought he was just being best buds when he mentioned if the engine have to get taken apart it will be under warranty (07 model here).

tks for the heads up and a great info !

The letter only stated the yr from 2006 - 2010 IS250 and IS 250C, so I guess from the 2011+ is not qualify for this CSP ?

9 yrs with unlimited mileage is a long way to go

I recently had my 120k service done (yup, I drive A LOT ) and also requested a top engine cleanup since I started to have some occassional rough idling again. The service department ended up keeping the car and running tests for two days. My car logged misfire errors before AND after the service and cleanup was performed with brand new spark plugs...

The SA opened up a case for me to get this warranty work done even though my standard warranty expired a looong time ago! It'll pretty much be an engine rebuild with new pistons, spark plugs, etc... a two week job once the parts come in.

He mentioned that this was NOT part of a recall and it was a compaign that corporate pushed to be applied in a case by case basis. So even if you bring your letter and report the issues to your SA they still need to follow procedure to replicate the rough idling or extract the error codes from the ECU.

Just waiting for the parts and a call to bring the car back in. Made me feel good about owning a Lexus and being well taken care of even thousands of miles past the standard warranty
