This one was built overseas but it is a perfectely functional swap, they even mention keeping it at 620hp to keep the reliability.
The one in Florida is also perfectly working, if you dont believe me come check it out yourself.
A fellow is300 owner's mom also drives a 700hp 2JZ IS250 as a daily driver and is also working perfectly fine.
Maybe it's just me, but if I am swapping a 2JZ tied with a 6sp transmission the LAST thing I give a crap about is (TRAC-VSC) probably because even if they worked the damn thing wouldnt have traction ANYWAY LOL

The one in Florida is the $30,000 in labor one (unless there's 2 in florida)
But given it was done by a guy who does Lexus/toyota engine swaps for a living I doubt any others running around the US were done any/much cheaper.
I don't doubt it's physically possible, since I myself mentioned it's been done. I just doubt it makes any financial sense to do it.
(at least until someone comes up with a 10x cheaper plug and play harness/instructions/parts kit for the swap)

the motor and tranny is $3500-$6000 depending on is you want the 4 speed auto or 6sp getrag tranny, custom mounts maybe another 1k...after that comes wiring which is the biggest headache ever from what I heard....I say give it another year or two and someone will find a way to do the job for $10k....bare in mind the person that did the swap is quoting the price he would charge, not necessarily what it cost him...
