Default Removing License Plate Light Housing

I've learned a lot from this forum. Great resource. Another question: I have an 09 is250. The trunk liner and metal cover have been removed, exposing the lic. plate light housing. I wanna install a backup camera in one of the spots. Can't figure out how to get the housing out. Do I squeeze the end clip real hard and force it, or is there a secret. I'm trying no to break it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

You might find something useful in this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...te-lights.html

It might save you a lot of trouble to just use one of those backup cameras that are built into the license plate frame.

So, you have removed the trunk liner and the black metal cover? If so, you need to take off the inner tail lights and the license plate. Then, unbolt the trunk molding piece (that is the piece where your license plate ists on it) once you take off the trunk molding piece you can squeeze out the license plate lights.
