Not a great idea...but my dash sticks in finger nails when I accidentally scratch it....and no my nails aren't long...
The material the dash is made of sucks, point blank...I doubt you want to plasti dip it...you might do better getting it upholstered, by a professional, in addition plasti dipping it doesn't change the durability just the color unless you're doing many coats....

Definitely wouldn't recommend using plastidip on the dash like that either. It's just not gonna look right and like someone pointed out, the clear is gonna create a shine that might be dangerous in the right light.

IMO flocking the dash would be a nicer idea, although I've heard that its a pain to keep is clean since it likes lint.

So I made the mistake recently of cleaning the dash and then putting armor all protectant on it. Then when I tried cleaning my windshield with Windex the blue shop towels fibers were breaking down and falling onto the dash. I've tried several products trying to cut the greasy stuff off of there but haven't had any luck.. I tried 91% alcohol and goo gone without any luck. You mentioned you were able to use a diluted degreaser on it.. Could you tell me which on and how you did it? Please and thanks in advance!

FYI you are replying to a 11+ year old thread so the originals might not be around to answer. Still good luck searching for your answer.
