I get the service done at the dealer so that it shows up on Carfax. Good for resale, especially since typically those looking for used luxury cars pretty much expect to see the car maintained at the dealer. (I know, us enthusiasts are different, but hey)

I had mine done today by "Alternative automotive", ALL they did was road test, replace air and cabin filters for $112. No wipers replaced, no washing fluid topped off; strictly dumbo mechanics that didn't know what they were doing; I will splurge and have Lexus do my 20,000; they are expensive but very thorough!!

What oil change in 15k??
I have no idea why all people are talking about oil change in 15k miles? Since it uses full synthesis oil and it's good for 10k. And even if you take it to dealership they will just change your air filter only not the oil change. If they said they've changed the oil, then they lied to you.
Anyways, my CT has 15k maint. service on my dashboard now and thinking of doing myself so wish me luck folks. I will be changing filter and add some water. No oil change though.
Cheers!!

I have 400 to before I need this service. To ensure I get optimal resale and clean CARFAX reports, I am having it done. I am getting the RCF and want optimal trade-in value applied to the purchase.

The 15,000 miles really only need oil change, buy your own oil ($42-$70 or so for 7 quartz depending on brand and store you buy) and bring it to the dealer. They usually charge around $34 dollars out of the door. For saving money even more, bring it to the quality local shop, $20 or so.

How crazy is the quote of $414?
I have an ES 350 (2014) and it is time for my 15k service apparently. I called them up and they quoted me $414!!!! I was shocked!!! This included a tire rotation and wheel balance. I am looking now for alternatives, of course. Do you know if I get it services at Toyota or larger car repair shops if that will show on Carfax? I had never heard of that until I just read these posts. Seems great, but not sure the extra money on the resale will compare with the savings over the years of going to Toyota or other reputable dealer. Comments? THX

Thanks everyone. I brought my LS in for the 15k, and was told that I didn't need an oil change on account of the use of synthetic oil. The cost for the rotation without the change was $120. I read your posts, and told them to just rotate.
I find that the dealerships never check the stuff they claim to check. No point in paying inflated charges for nothing.
