Default safe way of removing trunk spoiler held by 3m trap?

I am trying to remove my trunk spoiler that is held in place by 3m double sided, but i don't want to just try to pull it of due to being afraid that it would take some of the paint with it. will using a hair dryer to supply heat and fishing line do the trick? or are there better techniques out there to do the job?. Thanks in advance.

I would try using a heat gun and some floss. Heat the area for 15-20 miunutes or so. If its just an oem spoiler, it should not be that much 3m tape there or difficult. Good luck.

+1 on the fishing line. Don't forget to use gloves though

Yeah don't just pull it off, heat it up and use the fishing line. It will come off easily. Then just clean up the left over tape

I actually find it easier ripping off 3M when it's cold...
