Default post body work advice - should I take it back?

I just got my drivers rear fender fixed at a reputable body shop. I am not happy with the results. Is there any kind of recourse in this situation? Will a body shop typically redo or fix it if you are not happy or will they say it looks fine to them? I am trying to arm myself with some knowledge before I bring it to their attention.

Notice the difference in color between the rear bumper and fender in the side view. Notice the difference in size of the flared fender over the rear tires of the left vs right fender as well. Am I being too picky?

I was just in the same situation- driver side rear quarter panel and bumper were fixed by a shop for me.

The same thing happened- the paint didn't match, wasn't fully buffed (I had the work done the week before July 4, they were in a rush to get out of the shop). I took it back, waited a week, they fixed it for free, and it looked a lot better. It's definitely worth taking it back and causing a scene just to have it look the way it did before the accident. Just my two cents.

You must park out in the sun alot during the day. Basically what you have there is natural paint fade due to the sun. The new paint is deeper/darker because they probably didn't care to custom blend the paint for the potential of fade. Take it back...sooner than later, and explain even a one-eyed pirate could see this ain't right.

if you are not happy with the results take it back and do it before more time passes cause then they might say nothing was said when you picked it up.

I think you have a legitimate reason to take it back and have them fix it. It is noticeable and it'll bother you if you don't have it fixed. You paid to have it done right, whether it was through your insurance or your own pocket, so they should fix it.

Thanks for all of the replies. All good advice. I talked to the shop and they seemed eager to take it back and fix it!

as everyone else said, if you aren't satisfied take it back, its your hard earned money out of your pocket and body work isn't cheap but a professional shop should guarantee their work so I don't see a problem having this resolved.
