post body work advice - should I take it back?
I just got my drivers rear fender fixed at a reputable body shop. I am not happy with the results. Is there any kind of recourse in this situation? Will a body shop typically redo or fix it if you are not happy or will they say it looks fine to them? I am trying to arm myself with some knowledge before I bring it to their attention.
Notice the difference in color between the rear bumper and fender in the side view. Notice the difference in size of the flared fender over the rear tires of the left vs right fender as well. Am I being too picky?

I was just in the same situation- driver side rear quarter panel and bumper were fixed by a shop for me.
The same thing happened- the paint didn't match, wasn't fully buffed (I had the work done the week before July 4, they were in a rush to get out of the shop). I took it back, waited a week, they fixed it for free, and it looked a lot better. It's definitely worth taking it back and causing a scene just to have it look the way it did before the accident. Just my two cents.

You must park out in the sun alot during the day. Basically what you have there is natural paint fade due to the sun. The new paint is deeper/darker because they probably didn't care to custom blend the paint for the potential of fade. Take it back...sooner than later, and explain even a one-eyed pirate could see this ain't right.
