Default Lowered on 19's? Need your opinion...

I am currently on OEM 18's and I was planning on getting the LC818 in 19's. I was wondering what the difference in ride quality is for those that are lowered going from 18's to 19's? I am setup on H&R and F-Sports. Any help or feedback would be appreciated.

Its gonna depend on the tires you get for the "ride" feeling, other then that the h&r's are pretty comfortable so there shouldn't be much of a change

What tires are known to be better for a "less harsh" ride?

Hit up tire rack and decide what sizes you're going to run(if you're staggering) and check the reviews man

This is my experience from previous cars, going from 17s on 45s to 19s on 35s while on coilovers, there is very very very minimal difference if any. "Ride comfort" is really more towards what suspension you're running than tyres or wheels.

With **** tyres you'll most likely hear more road noise while good tyres are quieter but wear out faster.

I am on 19" smoked chrome LC818's with 225 35 front 255 35 rear (rear is stretched) Continental DWS on stock suspension on my IS350 and the main difference is you feel the road more, its not a day and night difference because I still get a smooth ride but bumps in the road you will feel more, I can tell a difference right away when going from stock to aftermarket but those are some of the sacrifices you got to make to look good haha.

the bigger the wheels = lower profile tires = the more you are going to feel the road lol

For the front I am going from a 225/40/18 to possibly 235/35/19. Rear 255/40/18 to maybe 265/35/19?

stick with the 40's in the front the 35 looks so skinny on the front and 265 35 is an expensive tire!

Rear you should go 265/30/19 for slim and aggressive look

Or go 255/35/19 for maintaining the same overall diameter as stock 255/40/18

I'm on 19s and my back is stiff every time I get out of the car, but that has more to do with my suspension being set to full stiff. If you really like the way the 19s look on your car then the ride quality won't matter. I completely ruined the ride quality of my car and I love it so much more now

Your suspension plays a big part in how the ride is.

Im on 20s lowered on coils and have it set to super stiff and the ride feels similar to stock to me. No complaints here
