Aliexpress will hold the funds until you've confirmed shipment, so you are pretty safe from getting scammed.

This cable listed in the above link to eBay is the same thing that I ordered from Aliexpress. I'm not too worried about it messing up the electronics in my car. The worst thing I anticipate is that the cable itself will fizzle out which at $22 is no big deal. By the way, the cables are coming from the same place, so if you find it cheaper on eBay, buy it there. It won't get to you any faster or slower.

The software is definitely the authentic Techstream software but it is cracked. You can find it on some of the pirate sites too. It requires that you run a 32-bit version of Windows. I installed a virtual machine version of WinXP 32-bit in Parallels Desktop on my Macbook. Just waiting for the cable to arrive. Tick, tock. Tick, tock. Going to program a Smart Card and calibrate a Lexus ISF steering ECU in my IS250 once that happens. And get rid of those hideous DRLs.

I've had this for about two years (they were selling for around $125 back then).

The software is completely legit, straight from Toyota, just cracked to bypass activation. The cable however is pretty crap, its very slow, sometimes loses connections, and does not allow you to reflash the ECU.

If you want legit, Toyota approved cable that is fast enough for real time diagnostics and allows for ECU reflash, get Mongoose MFC. However its gonna set you back about $500 or $275 if you get VW version that's just as good but doesn't allow ECU reflash.

P.S. Beware of fake Chinese "Mongoose" cable, they are utter fails and are worse that the cheap $25 cables.

Anxiously anticipating positive feedback to the DRL-disable MOD.

I was able to disable the DRL on my car with this but no luck in calibrating a ISF steering ecu and kept getting the unable to connect error.
