Hey all,

I have an iPhone 4 and can plugin my iPhone's cable to the USB slot and for the most part, seamlessly play anything via the car interface.

My Aunt just bought an iPhone 5 with the new connector so I gave it a try in my car. I get an error to the affect of "Cannot read this USB device..." She plugged it into her 2012 CT Hybrid and it works with no issues. I suspect it is because Apple removed the analog pins in the latest connector.

So I ask...am I screwed into not being able to play/control music through the USB port if I get an iPhone 5 or does Lexus ever send out Firmware updates?

I've only had the car for 10 months...seems a shame to have to throw it away.

Pretty much all the iphone 5 software problems now. I have a buddy that has a accessory shop and is running into problems with integration from customers with the pre-iphone4s to 5 switch

This could be a hint at possible upgrades...which would push me to going with something like an Audi in the future.

If you have an older version of Enform, the new Enform Apps Suite cannot installed into older systems. Not only does this suck *****, it's bad business to not allow Upgrades and therefor make Revenue.

apple will come out 2 new style cable supposed iphone 5 soon.i heard it will come later oct.this is the only thing hold me back to get the iphone 5.right now im stick with my 4s
