Thank You. The cost of fuel here means big engined petrol engines are unpractical. Really like diesel cars, not noisy or smoky, quick, responsive, economical and easily chipped for added performance.
Suppose the fuel savings make sense if you have to push the gas pedal less to achieve the same performance as before then you'd naturally use less fuel.
That was my whole motivation as I had the car for sale as $150 tanks of fuel was hard to stomach at 28mpg. The added performance and BHP is just a nice bonus.

Ive since filled up and i took pics of Full Tank and Mileage and will do same at empty to work out my true MPG, but mightnt bother now if all the doubters have mysteriously disappeared!

So I assume it's much easier to get worthwhile gains from a diesel than from our petrol engines for some reason? No one has been able to make a decent chip for the 250 or 350. I remember we even had a pretty intelligent and knowledgeable member on this forum (Gernby) who tried, and wasn't able to get much of an improvement.
Either way, even on a deisel, a 30% gain in both power and efficiency with a simple ECU re-map is really hard to believe, with or without pictures. Why would Lexus give up that much from the factory?
