So I discovered something about my IS250 yesterday,

If you push the gas pedal down a bit more than normal (), you can make your spedometer warning lights change colors, from pre red-out orange to post red-out red.

I think I was up to 120 when I noticed it. go ahead, give it a try if you havent yet, but make sure the cops arent watching.

and to everyone who knew that already, sorry, I was excited about it.

 

........... Left hand side of the steering wheel there are satellite controls for speedo and tach rings as well as TPMS. You can adjust what speed they turn on..........

Mine are blue on the tach and speed.

 

those are meant to be a visual warning in case you sometimes get a lead foot on the highway. I set mine at 120

almost had a heart attack though when I was driving my uncles car to Buffalo and this high pitched beep sounded when I hit 140. Thought something was wrong until I looked at the panel.... stupid audi's

 

I set orange to 80, red at 100.

I never see my lights cause I drive slowwww

Already got 2 warnings for speeding (10-15 over) so I'm not trying to test my luck any further haha

 

I set mine at 25 MPH just because I love to see the orange ring ;-)

you can change where you want your speed or rpm to turn orange...........rpm turn red when u hit high........not sure if speed turn red never tried that fast

 

mine turns pink once im past 75 mph ^_^

 

What's involved in changing out these LEDs for those that have done it.... ??

 

You will have to replace the 0603 smd leds the light up the ring. 0603 are tiny so you better bring your A-game soldering skills.

 

My flux capacitor turns on at 88 mph.
