Got My Turbo, Now Shopping Out The Rest...
And so it begins. Went down to the Aerocharger offices today and picked up a turbo. If you aren't familiar with them, their turbos are completely self-contained. No oil lines to run! Most of their turbos are going on snowmobiles or ATVs. They don't really like to get into the automotive side of things. The owner if Aerocharger is a close friend of mine and has been instrumental in my planning process.
The next steps are figuring out which piggyback ECU I want to use. Split Second, MAP-ECU3 and Unichip Q+ are my choices so far. When my boys from Aeromotive (not to be confused with Aerocharger) are down at SEMA next week, they will be scouting out the perfect piggyback ECU.
After that we have fuel delivery and management. We are trying to avoid using bigger injectors and I think we can accomplish this with an Aeromotive Digital Fuel Management Unit. Aeromotive makes great products for fuel delivery.
Once I get all of these parts plus an intercooler, we will take an entire weekend to fab the project out and mount the intercooler and display for the wideband O2 sensor (I'll be looking for something that can output to my Flyaudio navi, Blitz made a prototype so I'm hoping someone else makes an actual production unit). The weekend after the fab, we will put it all on the car and then hopefully get it to the dyno before we're all worn out.

www.aeromotiveinc.com - check it out. If anyone can deal with fuel management, they can! And we're doing the fab there!

Aside from his plans for fuel management piggy backs, if he runs low boost, i dont see why he "end up no where".
Good luck OP. The forums hate boost on these cars because the gains are so low, dont let negative comments hold you back, plenty have boosted with S/C's and enjoyed it. An acquaintance of mine in Houston is working on tuning his ISF with a company (has a thread in the F forum about it), and plenty wanted to bash him but he's following through and they are close to a end result. Look into his thread if you need further direction or insight.

I have a low post count because I used to creep a lot. I had a '06 Lexus GS300 AWD before my IS250. I'll check out dude's build and see how it went.
Not too scared of blowing my motor. My motor is in fantastic condition and I'm going to run no more than 5 to 7 pounds of boost (we did calculations, 5 will bring me up to 287hp and 7 will bring me up to 313hp). The tuning and fuel delivery will be spot on as well.
