Default Anyone shorten the Auto shift lever?

I think the shift lever is a bit too tall. I searched for a sec. and didn't find anything about shortening the shift lever. Anyone do this yet? I would think that you could lower it about 1/4 to 1/2 inch by grinding down the top threaded section and continue the threads a bit further. I just think it sticks up too much from the console. Any thoughts?

Thats it! I was on the fence about buying that shift ****, now I'm on board. That looks a bit too far down but its close to what I'm looking for. Thanks.

With the F Sport ****, you can keep turning it down until you get that low like in the pics. You might hear a slight crunching sound tho, but don't worry. Get it from Sewell with club lexus discount.

Note that I did not screw it all the way down as I thought it looked ghey. But to each their own.

Is there any easy way to lower the stock shifter? I think i remember reading somewhere you could just lower it by twisting it. Not sure, so I want to see if thats true before i try it

There is a member who did that, but he said he had to drill and tap the threaded hole deeper to do it.

You just keep turning it. It will start to crack but still continue to lower. I'm sure if you shaved and re-threaded it you could get it that low. I did it until the bottom of the **** was as close as it could be to the center console without actually touching.
