my "4 Cylinder" Integra has pissed on IS350s.

To the OP, like other have said you don't really have many options for making a 250 "faster".

All "performance" mods on my 250 are for sound.

F-sport intake/Megan mid pipe/Lexus HKS exhaust.

Sounds amazing

Would be nice for the OP to just get his question answered...He's not new to the forums and knows he drives a slower IS250....Too many people just out to beat a dead horse that he didnt even drag into this...

That said... from experience, Headers & Exhaust will add a little get up and go, on paper I'm not sure what it ever accounted for on my 250, but not too much at low RPM's, thats for sure. They mainly attributed to making speeds from ~40-85mph a lot smoother and quicker. Honestly a loud intake like Fujita or others will make you feel faster (because the noise).

EDIT: Saw your signature and you do have the Fujita intake...Guess you already sound fast

If the OP is serious he could look into the Torsen LSD swap like Jeff and I did. In my personal case I did it for the twisty bits but I also noticed an improvement in of the line speed as the car has way better traction now with T/C off.

The new Civic SI are actually pretty quick for a 200HP car.

i am thinking headers but not sure. when i got this there was no 350 AWD, now that would have been my choice but the 250 is paid off and taken care of, to trade or sell is not worth it. Also needed AWD

thanks

Headers, Intake, True dual exhaust with X-pipe, sticky tires, a low boost supercharger, and some NOS ought to make it the fastest IS250 ever conceived (though a stock 350 ought to still give it a run for its money hahaha)

It wasn't a budget-necessitated decision in my case. I just didn't need the power of the 350 and did want to stop getting the attention of cops that I've gotten in my past cars (which has included a number of very fast cars, including porsches and bmws). In a daily driver I prefer to have the power curve "just right". My prior car was a Maxima, which was a reasonably fast car that didn't want to go normal speeds. The end result was quickly worn out tires and brakes, and in the case of that car wheel bearings from imperfect pavement and a tight suspension. It wasn't even the money of brake and tire replacement, it was the hassle of doing it. I did eat the lunch of a few mustangs and camaros just to see if the car could, but I was younger then and I think I've now outgrown the peter pan syndrome.

It's not that I don't enjoy fast cars or can't afford them, it's more like I don't have time for them (I have other priorities these days).

The power of the 250 is right about where I want it, and when gas gets close to $4 a gallon, its fun knowing I spend about 15-20% less than if I had a 350, even though it was not the reason for getting the lesser powered car.

If Lexus had not offered a 2.5 I probably would have gotten something else, maybe gone BMW.

But yeah people shouldn't try to turn them into a fast car, it misses the point.

I'm hoping to have time slips on a 1/4 or 1/8 mile track in the next few months to see just what a boosted 250 can do in comparison to a 350. Bags + camber wont help tho nor did i do any of it to prove anything on the streets Trying to provide info for the forum though to fuel these debates though hahaha

FWIW from a 40 roll, a 350 did not get the best of me

Racing on a roll is one of the most inefficient way of comparing which car is faster. Reaction time plays a huge role and is a major factor in determining which car comes out on top. At least on a drag strip, the time doesn't factor in the R/T.

Still can't wait for the dyno.

When before her car would blow me away.. Was never stating it as hard facts, just situational evidence of vast improvement over stock.

because some of us are youngin's and don't have the money to buy a new 350 but want the IS and the 250 with nav and the luxury package is simply more affordable for those of us who are super young yuppies.

my story, anyway.
