Default Is250 off the line

Is there a way to make the 250 faster off the line? Will exhaust headers help? The car has a good amount of power just not off the line.....

Please no "get a 350" remarks. The car is paid off and that is not an option I want.

Thanks

Launching from redline, although I don't recommend it.

Wondering what kind of cars you are trying to race with a 250.

I'm sorry you don't like the correct answer.

But any other answer you get, apart from nitrous, would be even more expensive than the correct one (get a 350).

Intake, PPE headers, exhaust will all give you slightly more power, maybe an extra 10%.... for around $2000... or you get 50% more for $4500 with a 350.

In theory lighter wheels and tires, especially ones that improve your gearing a touch, will make the car slightly quicker too... at which point you're even closer in cost to the 350 option though and still a lot slower.

Other than buying a 350, spending more money to make the 250 faster is a waste of money IMO

On paper, comparing spec for spec, NO. In practice, considering Lexus' fuel economy biased ECT programing, probably true.

I don't understand why people who do not need a AWD settle for a 250 VS a 350? If i didn't need AWD for my wife, I'd buy a ISF let alone a IS350. I guess it comes down to budget but used they are so similar in pricing..

Yeah, what they say is true. I was on the same boat, and unfortunately there was no way around it so I had to get into a 350. You won't regret it.

Not trying to be an ***, but if you have a 250 you really shouldn't bother trying to make it fast. It's just not worth the hassle.
