Did you report the issue to your dealer before the warranty ran out? If so, then they should cover it. If not, since there is a TSB on the issue, Lexus may end up doing a goowill repair. Never hurts to try your luck.

It's obviously related to sun damage .... my 2006 IS sits in the garage and almost never out in the sun unless I'm out driving and the dash is in perfect condition. Bring it to the attention of your dealer and maybe they'll cut you some slack.

i think i've read about it happening to some members in hawaii as well, which further substantiates what i've said above re: high humidity and heat.

Bring the car to the dealership even if your car is out of warranty, several members had their dash replaced regardless of mileage. Don't tell them the stickiness bothers you, tell them it gets super shiny when you drive and you can't see because of the glare, then it becomes a more serious matter and more likely to change it out of goodwill. If that doesn't work, try another dealership. All else fail, call corporate.
I've seen and read a bunch of people here who has this sticky dash issue and were out of warranty who gotten theirs changed as well. We did not pay $30k+ for a car with a melting dash when a Honda civic's dash does not melt no matter what.
