It's a damn BIG difference. Throw a 350 and an F on the road course with equal drivers and lets see who **** out on top.

i'll agree with you on this since it's subjective from owner to owner. i opted to go with the is350 first, the power was really surprising, i must admit. sounded and moved like a sports car but luxury cabin. it will surprise a lot of people if you dont know a lot about cars. but the is-f, i literally just came in the house from going 0-90, this car scares the crap out of me, lol. i can say the is350 doesn't do that. for the OP, take off traction control, turn on sport button, and use manual.

if you guys are talking about throttle response, i have the apexi throttle controller, (HUGE DIFFERENCE) and it will make you "feel" like its fast as crap around town if that's what you guys are after. throttle response is crazy with the different settings. put it in the eco mode and it will feel like a 96 corolla, lol.

Lol so true. You cant talk an extra 100hp into a 350

This thread......

Stock Is350 vs Stock ISF - F wins
Modded 350 vs Stock F - 350 wins until @ 90mph
Supercharged 350 vs Stock ISF - 350 will win 100%
S/c 350 vs IHE ISF - same
S/C 350 vs IHE + N2o ISF - ISF all day.

This is all personal experience.

I truly think the IS350 gearing is a lot better out of the hole. But at @60 mph / 3rd gear falls short - stock vs stock

I did consider an LFA, but it's pretty heavy with just an OK engine/transmission. It was very cool 2 years ago, bleeding edge everything, but others have surpassed it in terms or technology, performance, etc.

I didn't mean to offend any ISF owners, the ISF's are bad ***. That was my personal experience, maybe the car I test drove had a problem or I didn't get all out of it Who knows, I am talking about stock to stock in a strait line. The 08 ISF does 13.2 stock in the 1/4 mile?

I came from a 09 is350 and now to 09 is F. I had my is350 for 2 years, have been to the drag strip many times and a few runs on the street. Great car no complaints, had to sell when I was puchasing a house. When i was able to purchase a car again I went for the F because of all the great features my is350 had. When I first test drove the F i was not really impressed of the performance, I guess I expected to much. However after a week owning the car I discovered the beast ! Power is just where it needs to be for daily driving and get decent gas mileage. One thing i'll say though on my 350 I almost always turned of the VSC on the F i've turned it off twice and was afraid to do that again ! Needless to say a few test drives is not enough to be really familiar with the car

Since I don't use my car on a road course and drive stop light to stop light, again its not that big of a difference. I was buying a blue 09 ISF last year but backed out the moment i drove it. The sales man of course pulled his its a better car than the 350. I said no its the same unless you want the performance. He tried so hard to tell me the interior is different. hahaha stupid car sales people. Again, the difference in speed wasnt staggering. I'm coming from a fully built Audi S6 which would murder the ISF on the road course or in a straight line.

I don't believe i once said my 350 is faster than an ISF its funny to watch all the ISF owners defend their car. It''s just not worth the extra monies thrown at a ISF unless you want the styling, coming from a 350. It's only a few tenths of a second faster. I would go M5 as my next car if I want to upgrade.
