Wow, lot's of hate on the forum lately...
I think what the OP is getting after is exactly what I felt the other day when driving my first ISF. I built it up in my head so much, because all I kept thinking was the extreme difference in driving a 250 compared to a 350, what the heck was driving the F going to feel like...nobody is arguing that the ISF is not faster, but the difference in the "feeling" from the 250 to the 350 is drastic, and the "feeling" from the 350 to the F is not as much.
Just my $0.02...

The F is a freak on a leash, you just have to know how to take the leash off.
Lexus specialize in building cars that "anyone" can drive. Thats why almost ANYONE can get into the F, FLOOR IT (with traction control nannies, etc still on), and have the car elegantly take off as if they knew what they were doing.
At the same token, you can get in the car, drive it 'normally', and get a very neutral (mediocre?) Feel. You've got to push the car as a driver to get the true feel and power from it.
Again, the car is very tame when driven as such. I had a 2010 jaguar xf supercharged that no one in my family would drive because the throttle tip-in/power delivery was so excessive. The F is NOT that car, and it shouldnt be.
If you are looking for something 'crazy fast' you will need to move into a higher performance vehicle. But, day to day, the F will surpass your expectations. Keep in mind, there is more than just a bigger engine. There's a pretty impressive transmission, brake setup, and interior changes that make the F different than the x50.
