★★ DIY Visors x Rudolph Antler Christmas Mod ★★
Its that time of the year again when we all like to bring out our Rudolph Mod
For me, the installation wasnt much of a problem; that is untill i got JDM window visors.
With visors installed on our 2IS, the bracket that holds the ear and antler together makes contact with the rear visor before the window can fully close leaving about a 1/2" of gap of your rear window exposed.
At first the 1/2" exposed gap didn't really bother me because the gap was still semi covered by the visor, but as soon as I jumped onto the freeway, the wind noise became unbearable. When I returned from running errands today, I immediately took off the antlers and started to think of a way to make both work.
So alas, here is the DIY
Whats Needed
- Rudolph kit ($15.00 @ Party city, Amazon...etc
- Sharp PVC Cutter Scissors (Can be purchased at your local hardware store)
*** Optional***
- Screw Driver
- Sand Paper
STEP 1 : Peel back the Ear from the frame. This is held together by hot glue and is very easy to remove
STEP 2 : Take the Scissors and cut a few mm away from the bracket, and as close as possible to the stalk that holds the antler in a \__| Shape into the plastic as pictured below
STEP 3 : **OPTIONAL BUT RECOMMENDED ** Take your sand paper, wrap it around the screw driver, and sand the plastic down so that the surface becomes smooth
STEP 4 : Once sanded, your done! place the antlers on your window, roll up the window, and watch how the visor now clears the bracket.

Thanks for the post. I tried to use double-sided tape to hold mine up but once I hit 40, the antlers flew off and I had to go get them. Does your window fully close with the antlers?

Your welcome Post up some pics if you do try it out
Thanks! The window closes ~99% now. The window does fully close, but if you hold the auto up or press up on the button after the antlers are installed it will recognize something is in the way and cause the window to roll all the way down on its own.
The trick is to gradually raise the window until it is fully shut
