I used to have cheap Achilles tires on the front (came with the wheels) and the size was 225/35/19. I had no rubbing at all on semi full lock turns. Just recently I got Hankook V12's on the front, same size and now it rubs like crazy when I turn into parking spots and all that.
I did notice however that with the Achilles, my wheels had a bigger lip where as with the Hankooks, the sidewall is almost flush with the face of the wheel. Could this be the reason I'm rubbing now?

Some tires have a softer sidewall, and will bow/flex out...even if they are the same size. Example, I recently replaced my worn BFG KDWs with some Dunlops in the rear. The BFGs have reinforced sidewalls, and the Dunlops have a more forgiving sidewall. I've lost about a half inch of tire clearance in the rear, but luckily with my 2.8 degrees of camber I'm still clearing they just fine.

More square is definitely the right description! I'm not sure what I'm rubbing on. Is there a distinct sound difference? I was thinking of heating the liner like I've seen people have done. Raising it back up is not an option, I will NOT do it lol
