I know this, trust me after owning a H/C/I Corvette, a Supercharged Maxima, and a tuned 335i I know how addicting modding can be. if there were bolt ons/ins that would net me 50rwhp+ I would consider. Intake and exhaust however is not my cup of tea. I might eventually do suspension and wheels but not at this time. I did get the car for a great price so its always tempting for me to just flip it and make a couple grand.

welcome! i just re-purchased an 06 IS350 sport a little less than a month ago... don't mean to hijack the thread but here's my story....
way back in 2005, when they announced the new generation IS, i fell in love with it and was set on getting one. i was finally able to pull the trigger in 2006 and picked up a new SGM 350 with sport package. i did little mods like led lights thoughout, the illuminated sills, and put on a tanabe axle back. had the car for almost 2 years and loved every bit of it (put on a little over 10k miles).
In early 2008, my friend had a lease expire on her Porsche Cayman S. i was never expecting to get it but the buyout was a great deal and it happend that my cousin was looking for a car and wanted my IS; sold him the lex and purchase the CaymanS (i was single at the time so a 2 seater was no problem)
fast forward to present day, married with a 2 year old and another on the way. we share the wifes RXh450 for family outings, and i've decided to store the porsche during winters. a month ago i saw a deal on an 06 IS 350 (white, i think starfire pearl?) and picked it up as my DD/winter and once again remember how much i loved this car!
mods have already included LED's all around, joeZ intake with fsport filter, and thinking of getting an fsport wheel! as luck would have it, my cousin has also decided to sell his IS (my original one) so he says i can have back the illuminated sills and tanabe!

I never touched any of the bolt on stuff, I just did the Cobb access-port. One thing I didn't want to deal with was out of warranty BMW service. The car was reliable when I owned it but I only had it for about 14 months. I can't seem to keep a car much more than a year lately. The car was awesome to drive and they are very comparable in straight line speed stock for stock. With the Cobb it wasn't even a contest. I preferred the Bimmers sport suspension but the wife did not, go figure haha.
