Default Interior LEDs - Panel vs Bulb Type

I'm ready to replace my interior halogen bulbs to LEDs on my 2011 IS. I've seen both the panel type (like iJMDTOY sells) or bulb type (like PRECISIONLED sells). Looking for opinions from those that have either type installed on the goods and/or bads on each type.

Panel type due to the way it disperses light.

The LED's don't dim quite as linear compared to halogen. It's sort of step like (like a digital) because it was not designed for LED.
-----------

I have JLC LED's and they look great as well.
