Default Yellowish Garax 6000k

Just installed a set of 6000k Garax bulbs and even after an hour or so of driving.. they're yellowish compared to my 6000k HID fogs. Is this normal?

That's not normal, bulbs are probably bad. Who did you buy them from?

Purchased from ijdmtoy.com.. and yeah, headlights are fine and oxidation free.

Crap.

Kind of weird that both of them would be bad.. and both the same shade though..?

Although... the fogs are for sure 6000k fogs from XD.. so it's not like we're comparing a possible 8000k light to a 6000k light and the camera is just off with the blue balance. That pic of the lights on the garage wall is true to the actual color.

Double crap.

I already threw the box out and the trash has come. ijdmtoy.. if you're reading this.. do the right thing and send me a replacement pair..

Please?

with my experience with 6000k garax.. there pure white.. its 'recommended' to go with like 5000k fog lights to get it to match.

But Garax's 6000k isnt like the typical 6000k that has a hint of blue.

Yeah i got the garax 6000k from ijdmtoy and they are slightly bluer than the stock 4300k, it shouldn't be anymore yellow than stock. I also got the 6000k hid fogs from them to match and it came out perfect. You might have got a bad pair of bulbs :/

Yeah.. after emailing them the picture, I got a reply that the bulbs are covered under warranty and to please send them back.. in the original packaging.

Problem #1 - The packaging is gone

Problem #2 - I shouldn't have to pay to ship something back that was defective from the start

Although.. it always seems that way, right? You get something defective.. yet.. you have to pay to ship it back. La la la lame.

I'll call once they open on Monday and see if they'll take care of it and post the outcome. Hopefully I can get them to just send me a replacement set and I'll ship the old ones back after. I'll take some store credit for the shipping cost..

Are your LED city lights pure white? If so, my garax are just a slight shade off but not much.

I bought Intense White 6000k from HIDEXTRA... The HID Bulb suppose to show white but it show blue and white combo... I dont care because I know I bought the aftermaket HID.. If u complain about the HID u bought then why can u buy OEM HID...

City lights = DRL? Haven't changed those.. don't want to lose high beams.

City lights = Parking lights? Yes.. they're SMD LED bulbs that are pure white and almost exactly like the 6000k XD HIDs

This set of Garax 6000ks is most definitely showing a yellow to them. They look about 5000k.

Another question:

How bright typically are your headlights with the Garax bulbs compared to your HID fogs?

My fogs are WAY overpowering the headlights.. as in like.. 3x as bright.. easily if not more. If I turn the fogs off and just run headlamps, it's almost as if I went back to weak halogen bulbs in comparison.

You had OEM HIDs before right?

If so, bear in mind that the headlights are projectors and the fogs are reflectors. Basically, your fogs will emit more light output at one spot, but the headlights will give you a farther output of light, if that makes sense

Yeah.. OEM HID.

The HLs definitely disperse the light more.. but I can't get over the difference in brightness levels. I'm still erring on the side of these being defective bulbs..
