Default Confused... DRL Issue, I'm probably just a moron

So today a coworker pointed out I had a light out. When I got home a few minutes ago, I checked it out and found this...

After browsing some threads I discovered that DRL's can only be turned off by a Lexus/Toyota dealer or the bulbs have to be removed and when that happens the high beams don't work. Well my high beams work and now I have a random light out. Is this a parking light? Pics...

DRLs are the same bulbs as high beams. Through relays, the bulbs are wired in series when running in DRL mode. So, if both of your high beam bulbs work, then the problem would in the relays that wire the bulbs in series (very unlikely). To me, it looks like the pass. side high beam bulb is burnt. keep us posted.

That is a parking light. Probably replace them with a set of LED's then you'll get nice white parking lights.

For me, it seems to sort pair up with the Garax 8K HID which I have on it - sort blends in with the color transition.

Where did you purchase yours from? I'll order those and unplug the one that's working for now, I hate it being lopsided with one on and the other out. Haha.

And does that mean that the previous owner had the DRL's turned off then?

I got the PIAA ones at sigmaautomotive.com almost two years ago, which is 6600K. They are priced a bit on the high side but I don't use them anymore and switched them with Philips.

I actually switch them with Philips Ultinon 6000K T10 to match the Ultinon 6000K D4S on the car (note the pics above was before I switched to Philips!!).

Nigel-JDMParts has them. He is also a CL-Forum vendor so he's safe.

Yes your park light is out. I just replaced my parklights with LEDs. The park lights have a cover to protect it from dust and moisture and the driver side cover is a tight squeeze to get your hand in. you have to remove the windshield washer cap holder off.

I found the Philips Ultinon 6000K D4S with Ultinon 6000K Parking lights.

Philips Ultinon 6000K Parking Lights on only. Note, since it's taken with flash, the HID appears on, but is only the reflection of the flash.

Philips Ultinon 6000K HID and Parking Lights + Philips Diamond Vision 5000K Fog Halogens.

Yeah it's the parking light bulb for sure. Before I had the 2012 headlights, I bought a 194 led bulb from VLED to match my old 6Ks

Yes, that's your parking light. Easily accessible and swappable.

Pop in a good set of SMD LED 168 series bulbs and be done with it.

$13 shipped for the same bulbs as sold elsewhere for $30+ and they match perfect with 6000k HIDs.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=200864106613

Appreciate that link man, I may grab them now. The $30-$40 I was seeing was making me think I'd just leave them off. Took the one that was good out so I'm not lopsided now. Haha.

Side note: Can't wait to go lower, I think I'm going to order my coils Monday or on Christmas!

Oh yes, that is just the ones I wanted. The links above are also alternatives you can choose from as well.
