Default Merry Christmas navigation greeting

Hi

I was just wondering for all IS250 drivers, on which date does your car greet you with a "Merry Christmas"?

Mine greeted me today which is the 24th Dec. I thought it was a day early.

Just curious.

Seems strange and culturally insensitive for a car (company) to do this by default. Not all Lexus owners are Christians.

It doesn't do it by default, one has to set that date in the calendar. I have my sweetie's birthday set to greet her in the RX350 with Happy birthday on that day.

Ps: should have set today as travel day. Heading to Edmonton and it is -23C there, brrr :-(

Ah, yeah then there's no issue. It's certainly nice that we're able to manually program in things like this.

One of the menu items is a calendar where it allows you to set key dates and what kind of prompts to sound. Some of the standard voice prompts include merry Christmas and Happy birthday. BTW, since tomorrow is Christmas, Merry Christmas to everyone that celebrate it. If you don't, then you can ignore my best wishes, no need to make a big deal that it is not PC.

Ironically you're making just as much of a "big deal" (arguably a bigger deal) by bringing it up.
