Default fuel needle range

How far to the left does your gas gauge go? Does it go past the far left white bar?

I had it almost all the way to the far left bar last fuel up and it only held 14 gallons. The tank capacity is supposed to be 17 gallons right?

I believe they have a reserve tank, I know my wife has gone at least 10-15 miles after it told her that she only had 0 miles left

Perhaps that can account for the missing gallons?

Yes, it is 17 gallon / 65 liter tank.

2 gallons are reserved for the sub tank. In terms of driving and if you have the estimated display on, once it hits 0, that would mean you have about 2 gallons left.

Ideally you want to refill when it's at 0 or earlier but if it's emergency and can't find a gas station, you could go for about another 30-40 miles (probably safe to go about 20 miles or so using about 1 gallon) but that's pushing it since you are exposing the sub tank and draining it.

A few people on the forums have pushed it such that the car would shut down since they ran out! Luckily they were close to the gas station so they had to walk over and put the gas into a container and get back to their car to fill it up!

Thanks, that answers a lot

I just filled up and the gas gauge needle was a full needles width to the left side of the far left white line. It took 15.64 gallons to fill the tank.

Last tank I drove 324.8 miles on 14.17 gallons

Np. That sounds about right. So for future reference when the gas warning goes off, switch estimated and when it gets to 0, go refill.

I usually go refill every Monday since the trend is gas price is the lowest during the week. This way I don't worry about running out even thou I have plenty.
