Default $550 for Sway Bars and Instillation to much?

I am looking to purchase both the front and rear sway bars for my IS. I was quoted $550.00 out the door from the dealership, that includes labor.

What is your guys opinion. Hope you all had a good Christmas.

Its reasonable. F+R sway from Sewell is $400 + shipping and then an hour or two install.

Yeah, that's a good deal. I got mine from Sewell for $400 and install by a shop for $75.

The dealership here wants $1000 for front and rear

that's not a bad price, but any competent shop can install these so I suggest you either go to an indy mechanic, install them yourself, or give tommy at musicbox a call.

Tommy is CL's most well regarded independent installer.

Hey guys sorry for the late response. I ended up paying just over $500 all together. So I thought it was a fair price for the set and instillation as well as a car wash. lol.

For a dealership to do the work, that's a pretty good deal.

Yeah, that sounds like a great deal. Makes me want to go down to my dealership and see what they charge me for it. Congrats on the upgrade - can you tell a difference with the sway bars in? I think I've read lots of posts stating it's worth it.

Not a bad price for a dealer. I was quoted I think $250 just for the labor to install the rear sway bar. I said F that and got a friend to help me

That is a great price from a dealer. I was quoted a few weeks ago $550 to $700 just for labor at Lexus Santa Monica, pretty offensive. I was even told that depending upon the date my IS350 was manufacturer they might need to remove the exhaust in order to install the rear sway bar.
