IS250 Boring?
#18
my 250 puts a smile on my face every day.... Ive had many chances at driving a 350 but dont want to tease myself. This car(250) is plenty for me for now. There is no solution for you. If you werent happy for the first 42K miles you definitely wont like the next 42K miles. Trade the car in.

its cause your not modded.
i LOOK forward to driving my 2GS, even though its like +10 years old, creaks, despite it being low, slammed, and feeling every bump in the road (GS aren't that fast either)

Beat me to it.
I bought my IS knowing it would be slow, but I also bought it knowing I would be finished with school in 2 years and could go buy an MP4-12C like this guy ^. Okay, maybe not an MP4-12C, I might need to save a little for that. But something like an IS-F would keep me content... For a little while. Lol. Just get a 350 or F when your lease is up.

Putting all of the great aesthetics and outstanding luxury features aside, I love the suspension, rigidity, and handling on the IS250. It has a smooth powertrain and drives comfortably. The engine type encourages me to drive responsibly and cruise. That is what I should be doing anyway.

I'm new to this forum and don't get me wrong I do own an IS250 and I just can't seem to smile when driving. I mean sure it has a beast stereo and nice seats but come on, I'm sure I'm not the only one? It handles well and sounds fine but there's just something missing.
I found this review and i thought it was just perfect, http://topcarusa.blogspot.com/2012/1...xus-is250.html
Is there any way to make the car more fun than what it already is? I mean come one, 42k and I barely feel any fun.

Don't get me wrong. By no means am I comparing the two, it was simply to set a benchmark and the difference in price. I guess you're right. Oh well, the lease is only two years, after which, if I'm lucky enough I might even pick up an ISF. For now though, I might as well start doing research on how to squeeze power out of the 2.5 liter engine.

I enjoy my car cause it doesn't break down and I can go further on a tank than most car I see on the road. I also see you're living in California unless you try driving on the mountain passes and roads you can't have much fun driving in this state. Trust me I live in Cali too.

My supercharger only cost me 4k and if my shop is open tomorrow I plan on finally getting my post boost dyno numbers. I think it's more than 40whp that's what the butt dyno tells me at least

Its pretty simple, if you think the car is boring then you should have test drove a 350 or the ISF. If the car is boring to you, its not the cars fault, its yours.
And to whoever said the IS is boring and dull to look at, why do you still own the car?
