Are you running "V" rated tires? A higher speed rated tire will give you a stiffer ride, as the sidewall of the tire is stronger. Higher speed rated tires are stiffer and give better performance in regards to cornering and handling but the sacrifice is ride quality. A higher speed rated tire will will handle better but be a rougher ride.

I do have "V" rated tires. The replacement tires I've looked at are all rated V as well. I see no need to go any higher than that (I think it's up to 148mph?). The quality/ratings of the Dunlops are poor though so it may be a decent performing tire it's just not a comfortable ride.

I have the same size, same Dunlop tire from Lexus. According to the tire review on tirerack, the tire seems to have stiff sidewall therefore the ride is bumpier. If you replace the tires with softer sidewall, the ride should feel better.

What spec do I need to look at on the tire to get the sidewall information - or can you even look that up other than the reviews?

Loop up some hankook ventus v12.

My ride was bad on some einter 17s previous owner had one. When i switched to summers it was the same thing.

I swear to god my car drives smoother now on low pro 19's V12s.
A bit stffer due to h&r springs but generally a smoother ride on stock suspension even though theyre 235/35 265/30

Thanks SL222.

I've been messing with the air pressure in the tires since yesterday and I'm getting some mixed, yet expected results. Too much air, even a little, the car got pretty floaty. I've been stepping down since and the ride was ever so slightly better but not good enough.

I scheduled in some service time with Lexus on Monday morning since it's free to have it looked at just in case (sanity check). Will report back if everything looks OK or perhaps they find something.

If your suspension checks out okay, get some Michelin Primacy MXM4 tires
