Default alignment question

I am looking to install lowering springs with aftermarket wheels. The wheels will not come in for another few weeks. Is it ok to install the springs now and do an alignment with the factory wheels, or is it better to wait and do it with the aftermarket wheels?

You should get an allignemnt anytme you mess with the suspension. You dont have to get it the same day, like you can do it within a week or so, but its better not too wait too long

Also, are the aftermarket wheels a different size than your OEM wheels?

Sorry for the confusion....what I meant is should I wait for the aftermarket wheels to come in and then install the springs/wheels and do alignment, or can I install the springs now and do alignment on the factory wheels then install the aftermarket wheels later.

the aftermarket wheels are 19's

You can do either or, but I personally would wait for the aftermarket wheels to come and then do everything at once, suspension (springs) and new wheels. Then I would do the alignment.

Lets see some pics of the IS with the new wheels. Good luck.

Changing wheel sizes can change suspension geometry - wait until the wheels come, and after you install the springs.
