Revving Issue
Hey just wondering if it's normal that when I'm driving my car (2007 is250 RWD) that when I let off the gas completely it gives a little rev. For example, I'm accelerating with the RPMS ~2500- 3000, and when I let off the pedal, it'll rev up ~200 RPMS at ~2500-3000 before dropping down to ~1300(normal rpm). Ive noticed that it does that usually during cooler days around 0 degrees Celsius.
And it happens even when the engine is all warmed up.
One more question, is it also normal that when your car is cold it takes a while for it to switch from 3rd gear to 4th gear? I've searched it, but nothing exactly about the second gen isx50's. Just read that it does that because it prevents putting too much strain on the car before it's up to temperature and something about overdrive?

Never looked to see if there is a raise in rev when removing pressure from the gas pedal.
I do notice the car holds the gears longer in cold temps (likely to help get/stay warm).

There was a thread about the cold shifts issue. It's actually not a problem and it's programmed to do that. There's some type of gear lockout if the engine is cold. I'm in Omaha and its been fairly cold here (below zero last week even), I don't have a 6th gear for awhile in the mornings until the engine is warm.
As for the revs, not sure.
