Default *Video w/ Fix* for passenger side dash chirp / cricket / squeek

What I did to fix the cricket / squeek. Depending on how hot or cold it is outside I'd get a noise from my dash and I've seen threads about it.
I found MY noise. I hope it helps someone.

if this did infact fix your noise i congratulate you. but if it has not i do give you this word of advice . check your car history at a dealership if your car has not had a campaign for the dash done its free under warranty to get it done. but if it has in fact had it done before. all the campaign simply is , techs add special padding to key spots under the dash. i cant exactly tell you where the padding spots are cause we learn them at school. and tech to tech instructions. its hard to type it out. so if your car wasnt solve by the campaign add more padding the spots under the dash. its about 10 hours worth of dash pulling and putting back.

It is located behind the glove box. I had to remove my glovebox entirely from the car in order to access it. But I have big hands. Perhaps someone with smaller hands can reach behind the glovebox to get it from under the dash.

Yea my dashboard was replaced a year ago due to the dashboard melting. So my dash is new. And I still had a noise after the new dash.
This has resolved my noise.

I hear that noise come and go all the time...I thought the guys who tinted my window didn't put everything back properly because it only started happening AFTER I got my windows tinted

What I usually do is just open the glovebox and smash it closed...it helps for a while then the sound comes back randomly lol
