Default Nav issues after buying new IS

Hey guys,

I have used the NAV in my old 2006 IS350 plenty of times, I have driven cross country (WA to NY) and back so I am quite apt with changing regions etc.

Anyhow this new 2011 IS350 seems to have issues with addresses, in fact I have tried about 10 or so addresses and it can never find the site. I checked that I am in the proper region and all that but its still having a hard time. Also the addresses are not new, most of them have been around for at least 5 years.

Any ideas? Why is this new nav missing all the addresses I had back on my 2006?

It was used, the guy had the region set for NY for some reason and I updated it to the WA region.

wa= washington? if so how did you go about updating its location. how long ago did you buy this car like 2 days ago? a week ago?

did you manualy update its location or did you let the car sit outside so that it located its self on the navigation.

The car had been in WAshington for the last few years, but it was shipped from DC (with 8 miles on it) anyhow in the nav you can change the regions so that its faster at finding locations, I think there is about 9 regions.

So it has nothing to do with the GPS its just changing the database the car looks at when your entering an address.

Like I said, I have used the nav in my old car for over 6 years, I just wanted to check here first to see if I can do anything more to troubleshoot

I bought the car about a week back now, so 6-7 days..

its cool im just eliminating possible causes for your issue. try this first before anything drastic.

you can skip this step if you need.

(Refer to the “Lexus Bluetooth® Compatibility Information” link on the Technical Information
System (Diagnostics>Telematics), to verify phone compatability.
Connect the phone to the vehicle via Bluetooth®. Follow the steps outlined in the “Quick Pairing”
instructions on TIS.)

try this step for sure.
Open the Enform App on the phone.
Press the "MENU" button.
Select "Info/Apps".
Select "Apps".
A screen indicating “Checking for updates” will
be displayed.
The screen will indicate if the App update is
required or optional. Press the "OK" button to
proceed with the update. If NO update is required,
the APP Suite screen will appear (Figure 9).
A screen will appear indicating the update is in
process.
Select “OK” once the Apps update is complete.

those steps were straight from lexus technical information system.

if that doesnt work you need to see if there is an issue with rewriting the nav info onto your system.

I've learned along the way that if you switch searching option by "Address" and "City", it may work. For example if you searched by choosing address first, and if it does not exist, try using "City" first. I found that it worked for me lots of times.

Thanks, I will try this when I get off work!

I will also try this too, I had been just trying address only, Thanks
