the infiniti G35x may be a VERY good option for you. Its cheap, looks great, got great power (almost like an IS350), feels pretty decent, and much better than the accord.

I would look into it if you are impatient to wait and save like others have suggested.

Was out at lunch today and saw a "new to them" RL at a local Acura dealer.... stopped in, they took it in last friday, just finished check on it, getting ready for detail.

It was a 2005 with 106k miles, one owner (bought at that dealership), had 100% of the service done there, and was spotless.... just had the 105k maintenance (plugs, tranny fluid, timing components, water pump, etc), brand new tires (still had rubber nubs).

I asked if they had a price and they said to make an offer.... I suggested take the 03' accord + 5k and I would buy it later that night.... they called me about 45 mins later saying that deal would work.

.... my logic on the trade went as follows:
03' Accord had 90k miles .... in the next year / 10k miles it would take a major hit ($1500 via KBB) for going over 100k.
It would need the 105k service (timing / tranny / big stuff) which at an indie shop would have been ~$1000.
The tires are about dead - ~$400

So realistically in the next year I would be putting in ~$1500 to the car as well as breaking the 100k barrier losing $1500 .... total loss of ~$3000 over the next year of driving it.... almost the amount to just to the RL only now I don't have to worry about the maintenance getting done for a long while, I have AWD again, 300 hp is nice, the car has an amazing ride compared to the accord and the IS.

.... all in all, I think I'll be quite happy with the car. I plan on driving this to 200k+ or death.

Since 100k it has had:
New tires
Symbol "B" service - not sure what this is (was $130)
New battery and cables
Rotors resurfaced - new brakes all around
Spark plugs, timing belt, water pump, drive belt, .... plus air filters and other small items

That was part of the reason it made sense, the Accord would need that this year so knowing I had that coming and the new tires/brakes help offset the cost of the RL in my mind.

We could have paid cash, I have a savings account I like to keep 10k in at all times that I could have used, but we got 2.9% and she has very little credit history.... also the leftover money from the IS could have almost covered it too, but most of that will go to our wedding.
So I put us both on the loan at a whopping $150/mo. just to help build her credit before it comes to mortgage time.
....in MN there is no early payoff penalty either, so odds are keep the loan for ~12 months then just pay it off.

u shouldve just sold the accord and paid off the IS with that and u wouldnt be in this situation.
In retrospect might have been the easiest, and don't get me wrong, I loved my IS, but I hated one cupholder and the size of the back seat. The RL sure isn't as pretty outside, but the interior ride/feel is better and thats where I spend most of my time. Also I was able to get $500 less than I paid for the IS two years and 60k miles later.

My fiance after we sold it mentioned we should have just kept the IS by saying "I just felt like a badass in that car, this thing I feel like my mother."

Haha, oh well.

Completely agree (although I believe it's G37 isn't it? ) And they have beautiful lease offers.
