Default Why I love my car and why you love yours.

Many of you have misunderstood my previous posts about the IS. By no means am I saying it's a bad car, my argument was it wasn't fast enough for the price. However, there are many more things I adore about it:

1. Love the interior quality. IMO it's even better than some contemporary models
2. Love the way it handles. Notice I had no complaints about handling, just power. Yet I do want LSD on my car but that's a pretty expensive mod.
3. Love the front fascia, IMO better than C250 or 328i. In fact I think the car in general looks better than its German rivals
4. Turnk Space- I'm 6,3 and 205 and can fit just fine in the back along with some luggage.
5. Love the colors of my seats- got the limited with orange tone to the seats
6. Love the LED strip in the lights, looks badass
7. The seat heater is a life saver, even in the LA winters (which are not too cold, thankfully)
8. Love the stereo- blast it and it still sounds beautiful
9. I'm not a fan of auto, in fact I hate automatic transmission, but the tranny in the IS is pretty darn good, especially the D mode. PWR mode is pretty sweet.
10. Sat-Nav: i mean the thing tells me where there's traffic and an accident and redirects me to the better route at my will. How awesome is that?
11. Girl-magnet: no comment on that.
12. Brakes are superb- even after heavy mountain/freeway driving and a pair of red rotors, brakes were still functioning perfectly well.
13. Great mid-rpm power delivery: the car kicks whenever you put your foot down, does all you want it to do.
14. Sounds beast
15. Considering weight, there isn't much body roll.
16. Love the fuel efficiency
17. Love traction control (when it's off)

Now the things I don't like:
1. Power, power, power.
2. Cabin space is pretty limited
3. The forward view is blocked by a rear-view mirror (no joke I can't see a thing)
4. No window wiper in the back, helps during frosty weather.
5. Little legroom in the back (almost none behind me because I'm so tall and I have to drill the seat all the way back)
6. Virtually no front-lip choices

Just wanted you to see how negligible the power issue is. Now your turn, what do you like and don't like about your car (with whatever mods you have, so if you have bigger wheels you say: "my car looks sex with the 19s", or if its negative then you say "bumpy ride from my 20s")

Best combination of style, performance, reliability and value in the segment, that's why I own one. Only negative is I wish the auto transmission behaved more like the IS-F, other than that I have no issues.

I like the power (IS 350)
I like the styling
I like the reliability
I like that it's a Lexus

I dislike the interior space
I dislike the GPS system
I dislike how the Fport package has so many options missing like reverse tilt mirror, auto dim side mirrors, and electronic steering wheel tilt
I dislike the rear high mount brake light

I love everything about my car except the stock wheels and yes power of course. Wish it had 400 Bhp or something for the money spent on buying it.

Also I hate how the paint chips so easily and becomes visible. It's like having pimples on the face, lots of it

Likes:
- styling
- reliability
- gas efficiency (in comparison to competitors)
- lexus
- jdm
- comfort (i used to get lower back pain from driving in RDX for too long, not on the IS)
- luxury interior
- navi is touch screen with good quality images
- being different (most people looking for cars in this price range and segment end up getting BMW, Audi or G)

no-likes:
- small interior
- green dash lighting theme
- rear seats don't fold down
- 2009 doesn't have many good front lip choices
- AWD doesn't have many coilover choices
- AWD can't go very low
- MSRP $46,450 CAD, and no factory xenon?
- navi is a little laggy

that's all i can think of for now

Gotta love the IS... it's a great, inexpensive vehicle. Sure Lexus cut some corners and use cheap materials on the interior, but what do you expect for that price.

Dislikes:
No folding rear seats
Possible issues with lowering on AWD system
Paint chips easily

Other than that, I love everything else about the car (08 250 AWD no NAV/ML, w/ Luxury package)

Cheap interior compared to a McLaren, yes. Cheap compared to a same model year Ford Mustang, LOL!

He said he's 6'3 in the original post.

Likes:

Exterior - better than any other car I've seen, even the 3IS, but I absolutely adore the E92's rear end.
Interior - simple yet elegant IMO. Changed out the ugly green dash lights to blue and white, so it's perfect now.
Reliability - that's why I bought one.
Navigation - awesome quality compared to others.
Quiet - it's quiet inside, besides the rattles.

Dislikes:

Power - should've got a 350.
Rattles - it's killing me inside, but hopefully I can get it fixed.

Likes:
Exterior - simply amazing with the proper 2011/2012+ parts, way better looking than the 3IS
Interior - very comfy seats and supports
Reliability - It's a Toyota, it's build like a tank
Navigation - makes the "ding" sound before announcements

Dislikes:
Memory seats and HIDs are not standard equipment for the price of the vehicle.
Navigation is too restrictive and voice command was not as good as the Acura TSX
Foot-brake instead of hand-brake for emergency brake.
No fold-down rear seats (can't shop at ikea anymore)

Handbrakes look so ghetto, it's not a Honda. Plus it's a park brake, not an e-brake. Not like you're going to be drifting. LOL
