Default Tech school painting car?

Friend of mine mentioned that tech schools will often paint your car for just the price of the paint. He said they normally do a good job.Anyone have experience with this? And where can I get Lexus factory paint? Ya I drive a Lexus but I don't want to spend $4k just to touch up marks on the paint

Went to tech school for auto body in 2009 and yes they do it for free but your gambling with the quality could come out good or like crap and they also will not have a fast turn around time its usually like a semester or two. if your looking to touch up some spots for a fair price i would try Maaco. they did work on my other cars in the past came out good.

NO, NO, and NO!

Thats like taking your car to Mako for a paint job. You drive a Lexus not an old beat up 90s car that needs a paint job

I guess you're a gambler cause that's a crap shoot!! If you actually care about your car you'd save up.

No ways! This is your Lexus not some project car that's been sitting in your back yard

And this is why I asked about tech school paint jobs. I heard they were good and I wanted to see what people would knew about them. I will def not take a risk on a paint job, I want a guaranteed good job, so I won't be going to any tech schools. And yes I know its a Lexus and everything but I will never have en extra 4k to paint my car.

No need to flame, can't blame someone for asking a harmless question like that. Just a little mad that my paint keeps chipping, and no I dont drive too close to people.

My car cost about $4,750 to get repainted by Caliber Collision. Their paint has a lifetime warranty too.

If it's only touch up marks, detailers do a very good job with just touch up paint.

If I had a decent looking bucket, I'd have it painted by those students lol. Other than that, leave it to the pros.

My friend did a two tone paint job on his civic and it was so bad it was funny. The painters were friends of his and the line dividing the two colors was crooked. It was so bad you could see it with the naked eye. He luckily got rear ended by a cop and the car was totaled.
