Car scraped at dealership
I took my car in yesterday for my complementary service, plus I had my battery replaced.
Service manager told me it would take an hour and a half, and it took three and a half hours.
"sorry sir, our washing department is backed up, sorry for the delay"
anyways, I take my car home and begin to actually wash my car, since they just poured some water on it and dried it off.. I started drying off my car and i noticed this blue stuff all over my Micro fiber cloth.. then I took a piece of paper and rubbed on the scraped area.. pictures below.
I noticed this an hour or so after i got home, and took pictures with my Iphone so date and time are embedded in the file. do I have enough proof?

Well the fact they tried to cover it up really bothers me... just slap some touch up paint and maybe he won't notice.. what type of **** is that? This is the same place I purchased my car.

The lot porter tried to cover it up, not the dealer in most cases. The kid wants to keep his job lol

Yeah, I'd go back asap! I'm not sure what the procedure is for when get the service done on the same day but usually I drop my car off and they have me walk around my car and the loaner for pre-existing damage.

As everyone in this thread has said.... simply don't let the dealer touch your paint, it's just going to end up looking worse than before they touched it. In your case, much much worse.

Take it back. I hope it isn't the Kearny Mesa dealership because I just took my car over there for some recall fixes. Sorry to hear about that but you should definitely take it back as soon as you get the chance. I just picked up my IS350 from there last week but I walked around my car and didn't notice any new scratches on it. Good luck and keep us posted.
