I paused for only a few seconds and my answer was at the time a sure NO! Its treated me well, both of them, and I haven't had any issues I didn't expect I would at this time with how old they are. THEN, a few days later my NAV touch screen stopped working. Did what everyone else did, checked with Lexus stealership and priced $2000. And resulted with a loud NO! Why pay $2,000 when the same issue will most likely happen again in 5 more years. So we will try the DIY other members posted. I still say I don't regret the purchase...but I might have felt different if the DIY NAV fix didn't only cost $50.

Sooo it left me thinking? How do my fellow CL member feel about this? Do you regret buying/leasing the 2nd Gen IS? If so why? And what model do you have 250/350/awd etc.

Thanks in advance! P.S - Doing the NAV fix this weekend with the crew at our shop. After Daytona BIKE WEEK of course!
-Not every car is perfect

-I went to this forum and checked for any mechanical or electronic issues with certain models and ended up getting a low mileage 07 IS250 without Navigation. No rattles. No carbon issue. I haven't had any issues with my IS250. So NO. I don't regret buying my IS.

- I know 1 particular member on this forum that made numerous rants about buying his ISx50. This member did not do his research about buying a 2IS before purchasing or before his parents purchased it for him/her.

No regrets on buying the car, it was mainly to use for the winter since my sister owns one as well and she likes it a lot. Great winter car with the awd.. the bad part is that the modification bug is nibbling at me on this car also.. so i guess I will keep this car for a few more years..

Nope. I had a 2007 250 that got totaled recently and bought a 2010 250 a week later. I've never bought the same car twice

^Sorry to hear about the wreck and nice that you're back on track with a '10!

Like some that have stated earlier, I should've got a 350 from the get go, but I had no regrets with the 250 or 350.

Wow, seems like everyone actually really enjoys the 2nd Gen IS. That's awesome! It says alot for those who had accidents in the 2nd Gen and went right back out to buy another one. I agree, doing your research before buying a car is crucial!

I kinda regret getitng this because this my IS leads me to this forum and made me waste money on MODS;[

Other then that, I love it, it's been going well for me and progress is going great I can't complain.

yeah, i get in trouble finding stuff to do to my car on this forum. To be honest my next car will be another IS350 only newer with less miles and a different color.

I had an Is250 and loved it so much that I replaced it with an IS350 last year for the increased fun factor. I supposed I could've gone with ISF, but had other financial plans. My only complaint is the rattles. Those drive me crazy...

My IS350 is the first car I've owned. Had some problems here and there but it was all covered under warranty. Only if I knew about TSIB's before my warranty ended I would have got some other things fixed but it doesn't bother me. It's been a great car overall and I get lots of compliments from people on the road or in my school parking lot. Only "regrets" I have is that I bought a car that doesn't have much aftermarket parts for performance and I could really use AWD here in Chicago. Although I'm getting a second car in the near future, either an Acura TL SH-AWD or BMW 335xi, I'm definitely going to be keeping my IS.

I thought we myself and several others in a different thread mentioned that you don't need AWD. It's about driving properly using proper tires.
